Having just undergone a complete and thorough renovation, the cottage is surrounded by vineyards and the picturesque countryside of the Gironde. The Charente region is just a few kilometres away. A 6m by 12m, free-form swimming pool is at your disposal as are the 9 acres of grounds. In short, we can offer you a comfortable, peaceful & relaxing holiday in our cottage here at "Jappeloup"

Guests staying in the cottage are invited to enjoy the peace and tranquility that first attracted us here to "Jappeloup". The south facing garden enjoys the sun for most of the day and has views across the unspoilt, typically French countryside. In summer, afternoon shade is provided by the twelve metre high Christmas tree planted adjacent to the patio (we suspect for that very purpose). A barbeque is provided to entice you to eat alfresco on those long, usually warm summer evenings. Sitting on the patio sipping an aperitif, whilst the unmistakable aroma of barbeque cooking drifts across the garden, is the perfect start to an "evening in". As the sun finally drops behind the trees around 10 o`clock, the frogs chorus heralds yet another spectacular sunset.
